The South District will contain biomedical research and development and office uses associated with Center for Design Innovation, Forsyth Technical Community College, Salem College, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Winston-Salem State University, and other public and private research uses and related corporate office or bio-manufacturing uses. Structured around the existing topography of the area, this district is defined by its natural landscape. The pedestrian trails throughout the natural spaces in the district will be complimented by sidewalks along the district's road network.
